Advocacy and Networking
DAMAN has strengthened its credibility being member organization of Hyd Civil society Network and Marooara coordination council and Chre pak.
During this year DAMAN conducted a series of advocacy meetings with elected representatives, parliamentarians (including minority MNAs/MPAs & Senators), Secretaries and high government officials to highlight the issues of religious minorities on the issues of forced conversion, brutal killing, kidnapping & sexual harassment with minority girls & women, Hindu Marriage Bill, job quota, implementation of BLAA 1992, Tenancy Act 1950 & related laws. Several meetings were also arranged with MNA & MPA from Matiari district on the issues of Jandwara (an indigenous tribe) & sanitary workers, working at Taluka Municipal Officer (TMO) Matiari in order to resolve their issues.
Ms. Krishna Lal remained member of National Lobbying Delegation (NLD) of CWS for Minority Rights during the reporting year. The delegation team conducted meetings with many MPAs, MNAs, provincial and federal ministers from all provinces and Senate members of the Country about the concerned topic.
